The NOVA Galaxi DVR 1624-44 Lathe is the latest lathe from the NOVA stable. This lathe combines the best features of larger lathes – power, capacity and capability with state of the art technology to make your turning more efficient, fun and safer. The DVR Galaxi is the most versatile lathe on the market. This new NOVA lathe is updated for the new season with an improved speed range, easier controls, and cast iron stand included as standard equipment.
Its an excellent all round lathe. It has an intelligent 2HP/1.75HP DVR motor with features such as chisel dig in safety sensing, favourite speed settings and out of balance work adjustment. Super smooth operation and incredible torque. With a very low speed of 100rpm right up to 5000rpm, this is the first NOVA DVR Lathe to feature easy to use dial in speed control, making its the perfect solution for a wide variety of projects, from small pens to large bowls and platters. The NOVA Galaxi DVR offers 16″ swing capacity (expandable to 29″ capacity outboard with optional outrigger accessory) and 44″ between centers. The Headstock can slide along the bed to provide a maximum bowl turning capacity from the end of the bed. It includes a forward and reverse feature. Full swivel head functionality and solid cast iron components complete the package.

Exclusive larger design especially for the NOVA Galaxi, with CAD designed ribbing for structural strength, and a provision for a tool shelf. The NOVA Galaxi 1624-44 Lathe Stand is designed to allow the owner to make custom shelves to add to the stand, if desired. Shelves are not supplied with the stand.
Stationary lathe capabilities in a compact workspace. Incredible power in a compact working space, great for those who need all the workshop space they can get! The swivel head and articulated Outrigger Accessory (additional purchase) means that turning even large bowls, you are still turning in the same compact working envelope. Slide the headstock along the bed for larger projects.
